Knights Thrusting Sword: In the first quarter of the 15th century fully articulated plate armor started becoming common place on the battle field requiring sword smiths to evolve the knightly weapon to counter this growing trend. Men of arms used swords such as this two handed piece through out Europe to great effect against armored opponents. With a 34-1/2 inch tapered blade designed to act both as a thrusting tool for penetrating the joints in plate armor and chain mail, and as a heavy duty hacking tool for splitting skulls and helms alike. With its long leather wrapped hard wood handle and heavy steel pommel to counter the lengthy blade this sword is easily swung with either one or two hands. A no nonsense piece of battle gear made to get its point across despite the odds, this sword would be a welcomed piece to any serious armory. (Leather Scabbard Included)
