Named for the battle where the English Longbow was instrumental in soundly defeating the French at the Battle of Agincourt during the 100-year war between England and France. It had rained for many days prior to the battle, and as the French Knights charged across the battlefield the quagmire of mud churned up by the horses’ hooves bogged them down. The English Archers using Longbows similar to this one, fired volley upon volley of arrows into the struggling knights. The English were victorious and the Longbow gained a very fearsome reputation.
It is made from Red Oak backed with linen. It pulls between 30 and 35 pounds at 28 inches. The bow is 72 inches in length and up to 1 1/4 inches in width at the handle. It is flat on the back and rounded on the belly.
This bow has a 1 year warranty. If it breaks or does not function properly as a result of manufacturing defects we will replace it free of charge.
The bow is permanantly finished and needs no maintenance.
